E-40 Plans Another "Revenue Retrievin'" Double Album Set For March 29th

Posted by Cool Nutz Lifestyle Blog |

By next March, E-40 will have 15 solo albums under his belt, as the Vallejo lyricist readies "Overtime Shift" and "Graveyard Shift," 'cause he stays workin'.

Vallejo, California emcee veteran E-40 released Revenue Retrievin': Day Shift and Revenue Retrievin': Night Shift on March 30 of this year. The Click co-founder's twelfth and thirteenth albums respectively both cracked the Top 200 of the charts, while the Sick Wid It Records CEO now aligned with EMI distribution after previous deals with Warner Brothers and Jive.

It has now been announced that the revenue will continue to be retrieved. On February 8, 2010, E-40 is expected to release Revenue Retrievin': Overtime Shift and Revenue Retrievin': Graveyard Shift. This will pull the Bay Area icon into his fifteenth solo album in a career that's prompted hits such as "Sprinkle Me," "Captain Save A Hoe" and 2006's Keak da Sneak-assisted "Tell Me When To Go."

In related news, 40's brother and Click bandmate D-Shot has recently released a music industry book. E-40's artist Turf Talk is expected to release his next album before year's end.

E-40 is presently on tour with Tech N9ne and Glasses Malone. Dates are available here.

Koshir drops "White Girl Diaries" on Wapikiya Records Oct. 5th, 2010

Posted by Cool Nutz Lifestyle Blog |

Debut Album To Be Released On Wapikiya/SMC Records
White Girl Diaries Features Appearances From Krizz Kaliko, Kutt Calhoun, Cool Nutz & Luni Corleone
September 1st, 2010 – Born in Anchorage, Alaska , Koshir was almost always on the move. He and his family relocated several times when he was a child. By the time he was 18, he had been in legal trouble in Colorado, Alaska and Montana .
After nearly a decade of personal upheaval, incarceration and overall turmoil, Koshir made a last ditch effort to turn his life around and make something of himself, as the then 19-year-old enrolled at Mesa State College of Colorado. After 3-months of collegiate life, that’s exactly what happened, as a friend introduced him to the music of rapper Tech N9ne and he found his calling—and simultaneously began paying more attention to making music than going to school.

Koshir’s life soon became consumed with music – writing it, recording it, promoting it and performing it. He was recording music on his laptop, which lead to his first performances. From there, Koshir’s enjoyable brand of radio ready, party-centric music, non-stop hustle and grind earned him a major buzz in the region. He released edgy Independent releases such as Garbage and Illy Wonka And The Pilly Poppin Factory and was also opening for A-List (Twista, E-40, Ying Yang Twins, Too $hort and Mistah Fab) national talent when they would perform in the area.

Now based in Montana and aligned with emerging Montana-based imprint Wapikiya Records, Koshir is ready to make his mark on the national scene with White Girl Diaries, an album that focuses on women, making money and having fun. The airy “Baby I Go” is an understated club jam, while the imaginative “SpongeBob Squshy” is a hyphy track that displays Koshir’s comedic persona. Elsewhere, Koshir displays the many facets of his personality with the playful “Naked Twister” f/Krizz Kaliko of Tech N9ne’s Strange Music family and the more demented “Killin All Lames” with Cool Nutz and Double00, while “Poe Boi” details his struggles in the streets.

“I want to be that one that was doubted, that came from nothing and made something better,” he says. “I feel like it’s time to do something different. With White Girl Diaries, the people behind it and the money behind it, it will actually get to some ears, some people that actually have influence.”
The fact that you’re reading this means that he already has.
